I have been collecting recordings I have done over the last 11 years recently. It is a massive amount of material, and i have started to piece together a new Jonathan Mono collection called Still in the Light. you can preview some of the songs here: Jonathan Mono. I also put “Jesus Song (111)” back on that profile.
I also added “Hard to Love Me” from Preface/Alternate to the Music For Headphones page as well as “Gatito” from KOSMONAUT.
New Headphones music coming soon. I promise.

still recording, but we’ve been focussed on rehearsing and trying out some potential new members, so not much progress has been made. and we keep writing songs. i don’t know if thats a blessing or a curse, but so many hours of music get recorded every time i decide to work on another collection. it is what it is. working on a new one called “everyone wants my money (but i ain’t got no honey)”. the demo we made last week is pulling from this spaced out, galaxy 500 place. and of course i keep hearing the velvets in what we are doing lately. that may just be because of a comment that was made to me at the khyber a few months back. anyway.
i found a web page that i had forgotten about. its a wonderful review of one of our songs, “sweet end,” from the KOSMONAUT ep. Its actually on a blog for a band I was a founding member of, The Upsidedown (PDX). I don’t think they knew it was my band when they wrote it, which makes it so much cooler. Check it out!
more to come, always more.

tomorrow night at the M Room in Philly with Miss Derringer, Persona, and The Battle Royale. We are playing first, so real early. Think like the 8pm open door slot.
other things– “doctor” is making its way onto another CD sampler… more info on that in a bit. Headphones will also be at the Baltimore Music Conference in September.
ah, yes… still looking for another drummer and guitarist….

added some current picture to our myspace page tonight. just us hanging out in our space. pictures were taken by phil’s sister.
working hard on pre-production for the new album. taking a slightly different, perhaps more traditional approach to the recording process. as it goes, there is a lot of new material being written and recorded, but we are tracking some of the songs from our most current set. all in all, i am quite pleased with what’s coming out. hopefully i will be able to leak a bit of it…
